ZenKitchen, a Community Supported Restaurant (CSR) - We are delighted to announce the launch of the CSR concept, with different packages and exciting benefits. Below is a letter that outlines what the CSR is all about and why we need to ask our community of supporters and friends for assistance. Dear Friends of ZenKitchen,
Since we started ZenKitchen two years ago, Dave and I have been graced with the support and encouragement of a great many people. This amazing experience has really defined, for us, our sense of place in this community and developed our confidence to move forward.
The Community Supported Restaurant (CSR) initiative is our attempt to build on that belief. As you can probably guess, starting a restaurant is front-loaded with costs: equipment, legal and regulatory fees, the cost of purchasing the business itself, and the services of our excellent design and construction team.
We've invested most of our life-savings and a good share of our home equity into the business, and we're ready to move forward. But we want ZenKitchen to shine, to have the décor, furniture, and equipment that is in line with the philosophy and spirit of ZenKitchen and the perfect background to showcase gourmet vegan whole foods cuisine that is made from the heart with much passion.
